If longer ranges are desired, you can slow down to 7 knots and its efficiency is almost 2 NM/Gal, resulting in a range of 685 Nautical miles and also fully charging the battery pack without the need for a generator. In electric mode, it is completely emission-free. The hybrid (diesel-electric) and solar-powered drive systems have proven themselves both reliable and cost-effective.
